HAMMERFALL: Album Recordings Nearing Completion
October 23, 2004HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak has posed the following message on the group's official web site:
"As I write this, we have only half a day of recording left, doing the backing vocals. For the past seven weeks, we have been hard at work on this, our fifth studio effort, and it's wonderful to be finished! When I have a bit more distance to the recordings, I will try to describe the contents so you will know what to expect in March. However, I can safely say that if you are a fan of HAMMERFALL, you will not be disappointed this time around, either. We poured our hearts and souls — as well as blood, sweat and tears, mind you — into the production of this record, and I definitely think it shines through: the music is more alive than it ever has been before.
"We shall see what the professional music lovers will think about it next Saturday, when we will have a big listening session here at Lundgård for journalists from all over the world. It should be interesting and fun, but it's also a little nervous presenting your new material to other people. Especially to those who will put their first impression in print for thousands and thousands to read. :) But I'm not really worried, as I know we have done our best and created another landmark in the upwards-moving evolution of our music. Praise is great, but neither good reviews nor bad ones would ever influence us in one direction or another. We are artists creating musical pieces for the world to love hate or disregard. Now, it is up to you do pass judgment. Our work is done, and I have to tell you: it feels fuckin' great! Up the Hammers!"
